Fady Jameel is Vice Chairman of Community Jameel. Since its launch in 2003, Community Jameel has seen an expansion globally, cofounding a number of labs at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) addressing some of humanity's greatest challenges: the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL), helping transform public policy and development decisions by increasing effectiveness through scientific evidence; the Abdul Latif Jameel Water and Food Systems Lab (J-WAFS), addressing the impact of population growth, climate change, urbanisation, and on the world's for water and food, the Abdul Latif Jameel World Education Lab (J-WEL) which aims to spark a renaissance education in schools, higher education, and workplace learning; and the Abdul Latif Jameel Clinic for Machine Learning in Health (Jameel Clinic) which aims to revolutionise disease prevention, detection, and treatment.

He also led Community Jameel's cofounding of the Abdul Latif Jameel Institute of Disease and Emergency Analytics (J-IDEA) at Imperial College London.

Fady is the Founder and Chairman of Art Jameel, the arts and culture organisation launched by Community Jameel in 2003.  Alongside partnerships with the Victoria , Albert Museum in London and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, Art Jameel runs two major art centres, the Hayy:Creative Hub in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, due to open in 2020-2021 and the Jameel Arts Centre in Dubai, UAE, These centres serve as a platform to support and foster contemporary art and creative entrepreneurship across the region and worldwide. In 2020, Art Jameel was spun out of Community Jameel. Fady is a member of the Council for the Arts at MIT.

Fady is Deputy President and Vice Chairman, International Operations of Abdul Latif Jameel, a collective of independent international, family-owned and diversified businesses, founded in 1945 by his grandfather, the late Abdul Latif Jameel. Fady holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Sophia University in Tokyo, Japan. He speaks English, Arabic, and Japanese.
